Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

I go to Main and find that Btfsplk is apparently alive and well after all after all these years. Either that, or some evil super-genius is even now as I type has set up an room with hundreds of laptops and thousands of cats and unprotected keyboards everywhere. Shark Boy and Lava Girl need to…
OK, I got curious. If one is âhaplessâ, then what is âhapâ? Immediate guess was âhapâ as in âhappyâ, or âwith hapâ. This would make âhapâ the gladsome quality a happy person possesses. That didnât quite fit the definition of hapless as I knew it though, so I poked about on the web and discovered…
I came home from running errands Tuesday to find the next door neighbors parked in the spot I’d left next to our garage. Yesterday The Prof told me he’d spotted the neighbors outside late at night with a small black puppy, trying to get it to attend to its business. I quipped to The Prof…
I’m feeling healthier today. That always has a positive effect on my mood. It’s pouring rain outside, but somehow that doesn’t feel so oppressive as yesterday’s simple grey skies did. I picked up Clueless Wonder’s atenolol from his vet last night, and made an appointment for his one year follow-up. He’s doing well on his…
The Professor teaches until late tonight. With time on my hands and no idea how to celebrate, I took myself to Borders Books, where I spent my 25% off one item, not-to-be-combined-with-any-other-discount-or-offer, not-valid-for-electronics-or-DVD-sets birthday coupon on Orson Scott Card’s latest book of short stories. I also got a book on reading cat body language and…
I’m trying out a new comment board so people can have the instant gratification of leaving comments once again. I’m also playing with the look – this is much closer to what I want, but I’m not yet satisfied. I’m having a grand time rearraging the virutual furniture though.
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
sitting on pins and needles is right!
