Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

Satan’s Little Fart Cloud with her best friend. Welcome to Day 91 of quarantine. The best sources say that most ringworm will heal on its own without treatment in three months. For three months SLFC has been in quarantine, with regular baths, creams and pills. The room has been disinfected daily, her bedding changed out…
Yeah, I know. Nothing for a month, then overwhelming drek. I found this while waiting for my cardamom cookies to cool enough to glaze; I just hope I can embed it on Dear Diary:
Wonderful. Now I have my boss pissed at me. As soon as I got off the phone with National Geographic, I called my boss’s office. He was in a meeting. No big surprise. He’s always in meetings. Better him than me. I told his secretary what was up, and said I’d wait till he was…

I’m walking the five p.m. to six p.m. shift for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life this Saturday. It’s something I’ve done for five years now. I’d have done it last year, except that I ended up having surgery two weeks before the relay. This year my heart just isn’t in it though. I’ve…
The Professor is trying to “normalize” his sleeping schedule. He tends to be a night owl, getting up in the early afternoon and going to bed as I’m rising for work. Mostly this doesn’t affect me, since I’d only see him in the evenings during the work week anyhow. Weekends, however, this has had a…
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.
