Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

*Ding dong ding dong, Christmas bells are ringing!” Well, bells can ring, but I’m closer to wringing. What I’ll be wringing will be entirely dependent upon what is stupid enough to come close enough for me to get my hands around it. There. I got up and shut the damned thing off mid-“lovely chorus or…
I can see the notifies for my private comments, but I haven’t been able to read them since the beginning of the week. Steve is working on the problem. Meanwhile, if a reply was expected, please accept my apologies. I can be contacted at my gmail account, user name Salamandervmd, if someone wants to get…
I had my first Latin class last night. I’ll admit to being a little disappointed. The guy teaching it used to teach Latin at junior/senior high school level. I can see how the kids would have adored him, but he doesn’t change his approach when dealing with adults. For example, last night he tried to…
I showed up for my appointed shift this morning at 9:00 am. The Senior Technician was already there. Her first response: “I was afraid of this.” We both looked at the schedule, and it was my name on from 9:00-4:00. Both she and the Head Pharmacist said that was an error. Senior Tech said, “Well…
– Three tickets in hand for tomorrow’s 4:00 showing of Spiderman (a wonderful friend, my love and me) – The new apartment tentative move in date 7/12 – Solution to a nasty problem at work seems 90% successful – Some wonderful man cleaned my turtle’s tank while I slept last night (and got a mouthful…
So, did I mention I have my camera talking to my computer talking to the photo-software again? The only problem is that the software doesn’t recognize some old photos I had taken previously and stored on it. I strongly suspect that I restored with a back-up version the software itself created, and not with the…
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
