Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

It’s been a while. I see that things have changed in my absence. I’d gotten so used to coding the html myself that it’s almost disappointing to see that the whole thing has been "dumbed down". Then again, there’s a spell checker now. In all, I suppose that’s worth the trade off. Why did I…
Wooly bear caterpillars must be the northeastern United State’s local version of the arctic lemming. Akin to the lemmings’ inexorable march to the cliffs overlooking the sea in years of overpopulation, the onset of the cooler days of autumn triggers some suicidal instinct buried deep down on one of the three brain cells a wooly…
I like DD, but I dislike this apparent need some diarists have to prove that “so and so” is really “such and such”. Who cares, people? You like it? Read it. You don’t like it? Don’t go back. I assure you, a hit meter that shows you were the only person in your diary for…
The Socialist is now tucked safely away in California. He called late yesterday afternoon, about three hours after he arrived at his grandparents. He did get a room last night, so he was at least well rested. He planned to meet up with a friend of his last night and go see Two Towers again….
The cats continue to laze about, shifting only to find more comfortable positions. Kitten discovered the unfolded laundry at the top of the stairs, where all the heat rises to. Kitten heaven was thus defined. Meanwhile, the snow continues to fall, and the forecasters are still saying up to 24 inches will have fallen before…
MRG and ADM: here’s the exact code I used yesterday for the thumbnail: <CENTER><A HREF=”http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic.php/12117/ShoulderKitten1.JPG” target=”_blank”><IMG ALT=”Click on this image thumbnail to see it in its full size” BORDER=”0″ SRC=”http://album.atomic-systems.com/showPic.php/12117/ShoulderKitten1.JPG/1″></A> <FONT SIZE=”1″>Click on picture for larger view.</FONT></CENTER> The border around a graphic as an active link bugs me, so I remove that. I finally figured…
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
sitting on pins and needles is right!
