Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

My ex-husband is a pack rat. Not your average pack rat, mind you. He was almost pathologic in his inability to pass up the opportunity to obtain certain items. At one point in our married life we owned four tractors (one worked, some of the time), five cars (two worked, one was completely disassembled and…
Just got home from the hospital last night. Diagnosis: Severe gastroenteritis of unknown bacterial cause, responsive to Amoxicillin; Cellulitis of unknown origin (probably related to gastroenteritis), also responsive to Amoxicillin. As The Prof says, the things I do to get attention. I was with Dr. Roo at our favorite meeting spot Saturday, getting ready to…
You have to love it. First of all, I was told my doctor would be back today. I call to make my appointment, and guess who won’t be in. Don’t rack your brains too hard on this one, it’s supposed to be a gimme. So I settle for Dr. Replacement, after convincing the girl who’s…
I stink. It’s not even ten o’clock in the morning, and I stink. I hosed myself down, and I still stink. I offend myself and therefore can imagine how others will react to my presence today. I am pariah, condemned to remain in my office or in the grungier areas of the plant for the…
I did a little IP checking – you were number 16,000. If I can figure out an appropriate prize, I’ll send it your way. Anyhow, enough with the family history. We are who we are, and we each deal with it our own separate ways. I really don’t write in this journal for an opportunity…
We weighed the cats last night. Warrior Princess is holding at about 13 lbs. Clueless Wonder is down to 13.5 (from his top weight of 19 pounds about 20 months ago). KfH came to me at perhaps four pounds. Last night she weighed in at nine! Kitten from Hell and the Warrior Princess in the…
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
sitting on pins and needles is right!
