Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

For those of you who come here via a notify, I should point out that Yarngirl is the only person who submitted a response to my plea that someone confirm that the wrong notify message is going out on my entries. I’ve suspected it for a while, and a few people previously asked me about…
While walking from the main building to my office yesterday evening, I watched grey storm clouds jostling for position over my head. A red-tail hawk soared into view, surfing the edge of the storm front. Tail and wings fully spread, he could have been a kite without a string. Other birds had taken cover from…
Warrior Princess is healing well from the surgery, but late last night The Prof noticed signs of erosion on her left eye. I scheduled a follow-up visit for this afternoon. Out with some of the old meds, in with a new one, and another visit scheduled Monday. I will not let this poor cat lose…
Thanks to Charlie Chaplin for this one. Now, I like to think of myself as well read. I like to believe that, if it is a work of classic literature, I’ve at least heard of the author, if not the book itself. I don’t claim to have worked my way through all of Shakespeare, nor…
I’m sitting in a Barnes and Noble about an hour’s drive from where I live, proctoring three community college students who needed to take a test on Sunday. The community college’s test center is closed on Sundays, which left me in the happy situation of being able to earn $20/head for sitting around reading books…
Iâm still taking the bead class, and still liking it. Iâve purchased the bare necessities to start practicing at home, and Iâve signed up for the second installment. Iâve gotten better at it, and while I donât pretend to possess any true talent, I think I have some good ideas. This last lesson we played…
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
sitting on pins and needles is right!
