Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

I have three “lucky pieces” that have served me throughout my life. I have an old Gumby bendy toy that sat every test in veterinary school with me. I have a bag of polished worry-stones that was given to me by my first boyfriend when I was fifteen. And I have the silver unicorn pendant….
I couldn’t take it any more. Mr. White Deaf Cat, my foster for the past couple of weeks, is easily the most curious, agile, destructive force I’ve ever encountered with four legs and a purr. After about a week in the foster room he discovered how to open the lower doors on the corner cabinet…
Replacing a driver’s license : $24.00 Replacing an owner’s card : $18.50 Getting a new Medic Alert bracelet: $30.00 (unless I upgrade to gold, which I’ve always wanted to do – then it’s at least $80.00) Getting a new card case : I think I’ll skip that Total: : 72.50 Value of a kitten’s love…
⢠1 jigger bourbon ⢠1 tablespoon mild honey ⢠2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice ⢠1/4 cup boiling-hot water Last night I substituted Splenda for the honey, since that is what I had in the house. It doesnât cure the common cold, but it sure makes you care less about it. The cold has…
I was tired enough last night that I decided to drag my sorry carcass to bed at 8:00. I ate a little dinner first, but really didn’t want it. I found “Andy Griffith” on the tube, and kept that on as noise to keep me company while I ate; Tuesday is when the Socialist has…
I’m back at my desk. I just wish it felt better to say that. I didn’t sleep well last night, and I can’t seem to rid myself of this cough. The end result was that I zombied my way through the day, counting the hours and then minutes remaining until I could go home again….
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
sitting on pins and needles is right!
