[I have no idea why the embedded links won’t work. Dear Diary insists on adding itself to the URL, for some strange reason. I’m going to assume it’s a bug that will be worked out, and so leave the links in place for the time being. If you want to see the original article I’m…
Yesterday TraumaMama wrote to me: Please don’t dismiss the living donor option! Instead why not have lunch with them separately to explain some of the conditions you tried to bring up? It sounds like your younger sister is making medical assumptions and needs to be straightened out. I bet both your sisters want very much…
Yesterday most the trees in my area simultaneously gave up on the idea of holding onto their chlorophyll reserves. With the exception of the walnut trees (who had surrendered leaves and nuts a few weeks back), the trees revealed their leaves’ underlying colors yesterday. We were to have one day of peak leafing this year;…
The Socialist took yesterday off from work so he could take care of arranging to get his car fixed. I was rather impressed with his insurance company – less than twelve hours after he got hit his car was in for estimates. The Socialist, of course, spent most of the day admiring his half-empty glass…
Last evening was a madhouse. I didn’t get out of work until 4:30 for my 5:00 dentist appointment. Fortunately there was little traffic, so I wasn’t late. However…. My longer-time readers (you masochists know who you are) will recall my confession of several years back, when I made my first dental appointment in a long…
To recap what had happened previously: · I called our cable representative twice to get cable TV. He never responded to my messages. · About a week and a half after I left the second message, my cable representative called me to say he could save me money by hooking us up to cable television….
"On the day Agnes died…" Is this Nadia? The name threw me for a loop when I thought another character was being introduced.
I like it though!
Alli
I was going to make the same comment as Alli….
I also enjoyed it! I don’t know that I could have done that. I tend to ramble on and never get to the point. Great job!!!
Megan
I liked it too! It drew me right in.
Damnit, still can’t access your friends only entries :(.
Ah, those ARE a lot of constraints!
AND having to name the characters in meaningful ways…. could set me off into the looney bin.
I ALREADY have a hard time naming in my stories….
But it’s true, writing to parameters DOES make you stretch. Paramiters? Paramaters?
Specific requirements! There!
Hope you get a good grade.
Very nice. Well done. I like the name Nadia. My bf’s father died of Leukemia. Some rare form not discovered until it was much too late to do anything about.
Best of luck with your writing class!
I too liked it, however it does not "feel" you are writing this.
I love your usual style…long, rambling and stops along the way about all the little interesting facts you normally *ramble* about.I love it when you stop us readers in mid sentence to smell the roses.
I was left feeling *I want more*. Does that make sense? Sort of got the bread without the filling.
I echo what Elf said.
