The Socialist phoned me again this morning, this time from Tennessee. It looks like he’ll be home by tomorrow. Sorry cats, but it looks like you’ll be kicked out of the bedroom after tonight. I suspect the Grey Menace is going to have her nose out of joint for a bit; she’d gotten used to…
1. Does one ever stop making mistakes??? I sure hope so. Somebody important said this to me yesterday. My response: I sure hope not. Making mistakes is the only alternative to becoming stagnant. I don’t want to simply be what I am now for the rest of my life, so I’m willing to incur the…
I’ve got tickets for Fellowship of the Rings!!!!!!!!! Opening day, December 19th, 8:00 p.m. show. YES! Dances off to bed.
Pardon the near miss on the vernacular, but I could not fracking believe the seats I had for the Dar Williams concert last night. Ninth row from the front, just off the left aisle of center, and the people who were supposed to sit in front of me never showed up! I have never been…
I found a news story in the Big City Paper about what Dr. Liver must have been up to yesterday. Pennsylvania physicians rally for malpractice relief Posted on Tue, Apr. 29, 2003 By Karl Stark, Marian Uhlman and Linda Loyd Inquirer Staff Writers Nearly 2,000 doctors, nurses and their supporters took off work yesterday and…
Had my first appointment with the orthopedist Tuesday. He ordered new radiographs and then told me that it wasnât the medial malleolus that was broken â it was the distal tibia re-broken. Although he canât say for sure that I didnât knock a wee chip off the medial as well. Keeping it short and sweet,…
"On the day Agnes died…" Is this Nadia? The name threw me for a loop when I thought another character was being introduced.
I like it though!
Alli
I was going to make the same comment as Alli….
I also enjoyed it! I don’t know that I could have done that. I tend to ramble on and never get to the point. Great job!!!
Megan
I liked it too! It drew me right in.
Damnit, still can’t access your friends only entries :(.
Ah, those ARE a lot of constraints!
AND having to name the characters in meaningful ways…. could set me off into the looney bin.
I ALREADY have a hard time naming in my stories….
But it’s true, writing to parameters DOES make you stretch. Paramiters? Paramaters?
Specific requirements! There!
Hope you get a good grade.
Very nice. Well done. I like the name Nadia. My bf’s father died of Leukemia. Some rare form not discovered until it was much too late to do anything about.
Best of luck with your writing class!
I too liked it, however it does not "feel" you are writing this.
I love your usual style…long, rambling and stops along the way about all the little interesting facts you normally *ramble* about.I love it when you stop us readers in mid sentence to smell the roses.
I was left feeling *I want more*. Does that make sense? Sort of got the bread without the filling.
I echo what Elf said.
