Television on the Edge of Forever
I completely missed the 45th anniversary of the premier of original Trek last week. For others who care, this is a great little article:

February, when the days of winter seem endless and no amount of wistful recollecting can bring back any air of summer. – – – Shirley Jackson “Raising Demons” We did get yet more snow last night, but it only amounted to about two very fluffy inches. It was still a pain to have to clean…
Our condo is at the dead end of a very short drive within our little community. The dead end is literally a dead end, with the drive ending bluntly straight into a short hedge. Our garage is the last on the row, with the drive ending about ten feet or so past the garage. The…
I’m glad we decided to go down to the airport Friday night instead of early Saturday. It was far more relaxing to book the room at the airport hotel and then only have to cross the bridge to get to our check-in counter than it would have been to get up extra early, drive to…
Recommend To Me:1. A movie.2. A book.3. A musical artist, song, or album.4. A DDiarist not on my friends list.5. Something to do in the next two months; something daring or adventuresome. And Alli – the stupid 24/7 grocery store stacks the Pepperidge Farm cake boxes ON THEIR SIDES! In fact, most local grocery stores…
to Salamander’s humble diary “The View from Under My Rock” is TraumaMama911. For this achievement, I’m afraid there’s no prize what-so-ever, but I’ll see if I can’t fix that for the next time. Thanks to everyone for playing, and stay tuned for our next winner at level 5000.

A great list. I’m passing it on to BassPlayer.
this is the show that turned me onto sci-fi fantasy. i think i’m the only one in my family to have watched it. i used to make my sister laugh when i’d "sing" the closing theme. great article…have to watch "a taste of armageddon" now…
What a lovely walk down memory lane! Thank you! I was lucky, my Mom loved TOS, so I got to watch them all as a kid. One of my boyfriend "tests" has always been whether or not they enjoyed TOS. If they hadn’t ever watched, I’d turn it on and watch him watching the show. A bad reaction to the show, Shatner bad acting criticisms aside, meant that relationship was a no-go.
