The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

My first entry of 2011 and I’m already bitching. Life as we know it continues. Things that I got for Christmas that I might be able to regift: ●4 Gorham âFestive Hollyâ votives ●Lenox âJust Jinglesâ tree ornament (which I note with amusement has âAmerican by Designâ printed on the box but âMade in Chinaâ…
I am not the center of the universe. I am not even part of the Oort cloud in most people’s universes. The question is, why does that come as a surprise every time I learn it? Less than complimentary things can be said about my ego some times.
A little about my trip, then. The flight out was abysmally awful, as noted on yesterday’s entry. We went from the airport to The Professor’s grandparents’ house to touch base with them. His grandparents essentially raised the Professor – they formally adopted him, and he regards them as his parents while he sees his biological…
LintaSossy had this on her most recent diary entry. I was intrigued. After all, I used to be wicked at Monoploy. Your score is 30 The most frequently received point is 4 (4/10) Take the Monopoly Piece Quiz! I’m afraid it’s the utter truth.
So Iâve been sitting on the Dear Diary Update Diary page since April 8th (no exaggeration) trying to compose an entry. For some reason I tend to freeze when I actually sit down to write something these days. I think Iâm finally realizing that Iâm not as interesting as I think I am. Under âRegretsâ,…
Last week The Prof’s car started making some truly formidible noises, so he ran it in to the local service shop. There was a problem with the belts, and because of the way his car is put together it would have been a $1,000 plus job to fix everything correctly. He elected to have the…
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?

Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
