The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

Too much time on my hands today. It’s a “regular” work day, in that I have to be in the office, but except for an early morning problem, I’ve not been called on to do anything, nor do I expect to be for another few hours. The plan was originally to put the Christmas lights…
This was intended to be an afternoon project. It got out of hand. You may recall that back on October 21st I off-handedly commented that I’d been inspired by Roseanne Cash’s new CD, “The List”. I decided I was going to make my own top 100 list of songs. For those of you who enjoy…
Woo and hoo. This Salamander finally did something right. Even if it was by accident. Last May I lost my cell phone for the first time. I knew exactly where it had to be, but it never turned up. I offer up my excuse that I lost it exactly a week before I got my…
Last Friday there were four; this morning there is only one. Some misfortune must have befallen the goose family out back of where I work, because three of the little yellow peepsters were missing this morning. Mom and Dad goose are being particularly protective of their last ball of fluff, and when I saw them…
I thought today would be better, but the numbness remains. I’ve not heard from my friend, but word is that all Oppenheimer employees got out safely, so things must be OK for her. I’m still glued to the television. There are times when I think I can’t bear to watch any more. The interview with…
Ponderables: – How is it that I can be insomniac and wide-awake at 6:00 a.m. only to be jolted out of a deep sleep at 6:30 a.m. by my alarm clock? – Why is the Kitten’s favorite place to sleep while I’m at the computer directly behind the wheels of my chair? – How do…
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!
Love,Alaina
Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
