The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

Runny nose, painful sinuses, chills, current temp 100.8° F. I stayed home from work, but I have my first writing class tonight, and I don’t want to miss that. Damn. I’ve got a nasty feeling that I’ve now used up too many of my days off to be able to go to California in August.

Today was my annual transplant check up at Big City Hospital. I walked the distance between the train station and the hospital, perhaps a dozen city blocks. My legs were burning by the time I got to the hospital. Being a stay-at-home slug has done nothing for my physique. The walk was even worse back…
Those of you so inclined, send a prayer or a condolence card to the manager of my apartment complex. She just sat through fifteen minutes of me ranting about last night. It wasn’t her fault, it was beyond her control, she apologized beautifully and promised me reimbursement for my flowers, and I was still so…
*Take This Test!* I was supposed to be a chocolate glazed donut. Or a Boston cream filled donut. I don’t even like jelly donuts.
… and I’m sitting all by myself at the computer, I’ve decided to take Slipperman’s “What the Hell, Part 2” survey. A – Age: 46 (newly minted) B – Best Quality: I know how to bide my time waiting to get even. C – Choice Of Meat: beef D – Dream Date: A no show…
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!

Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
