The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

‘Love is blind, but friendship closes its eyes.” -English Proverb- I ran across that quote the other day, while researching something totally irrelevant to it. For some reason, it stuck with me. I’ve had reason to contemplate friendship over the past few days. But I’ll get back to that later. I have learned over the…
Survival. I guess that’s what it’s all about. I just have to figure out if I still have a pulse at this point. I got almost no sleep Sunday night. I kept waking up, worrying about how Monday was going to go. I had visions of National Geographic showing up unannounced on my doorstep Monday…
I retrieve the mail once a week, on Sundays. I may check more often if I’m expecting something important, or if the moon is in alignment with Uranus. I’ve proved that I am not obsessive-compulsive about the mail, but nobody’s listening. I doubt at this point the Prof would even remember the incident that pissed…
Not an easy day. I was at my desk at 6:30, and left shortly before six this evening. This pace I won’t be able to keep up. The hourly employees are putting in long days though, trying to keep up with a sudden huge demand our company has encountered due to the acquisition of several…
I have just TKO’d my digestive tract for him. He wanted ham and lentil pilaf for dinner. Easy stuff. I got the pilaf going (straight out of a box, boys and girls – no fuss, no muss), got the ham slices that I had cut from the Christmas ham my company gave me (yes, there…
Well, I’m back. The California getaway was wonderful, albeit too short. I hated leaving The Professor behind and returning East yesterday, but at least he’ll be back Saturday. And the time away from the apartment confirmed one important thing for me – any disputes between The Prof and myself are due more to work and…
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!
Love,Alaina
Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
