The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

The Mystery Plant is definitely not datura, day lilies nor salvia. It doesn’t have tubers like dahlias do, and having handled the plant I can personally attest to the fact that it is definitely not nettles! Bell flowers (at least the ones I’m familiar with) are far more delicate than these things. The buds on…
Hearts of Steel The above will open in a separate window for you. It is a link to a site that provides information about a fund raising project to raise money for a memorial to the people on Flight 93 that crashed in Pennsylvania on September 11, 2001. If you are stuck for ideas for…
This was supposed to be a story about how KfH broke the carrot nose off of my brand new Dr. Snowman Christmas tree ornament. The ornament that I’d bought less than an hour before, that I was going to tweak into a VMD snowman. The one that I’d left in the bag on the table…
Problems at work – there were questions about how a junior management person was treating the animals. I’d gotten a disturbing report of an incident that had happened at the end of the day, and wanted to follow up on it when I got in first thing this morning. Unfortunately, when I got in this…
I pretty much knew something was going to hit me by Saturday. I’d suspected it for perhaps a week previously – intermittent sore throats, aggressively runny nose, and that generic, pervasive feeling of something being not quite right. By last night, it was a sure thing that I couldn’t ignore any longer. I’ve caught some…
What a freaking, aggravating morning. Ah well, I’ll start off with the good news first, and maybe I’ll be in a better mood after I get it typed out. The Boss came through for me. I don’t need to use extra vacation days (that I don’t have) in order to go to California for Christmas….
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

Wow! I’m jealous as hell!

in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!

Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
