The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

Things are hectic here at the OK corral at the moment. The countdown to the audit is now less than 48 hours, and people are suddenly waking up to the fact that yes, this is going to happen. I’m at the “don’t give a flying fig” stage at the moment. There’s no more I can…
I suppose eventually someone around here is going to point out how unprofessional it is to have these hanging in my office.
Surgery to repair my hernia is still on for Thursday. Unfortunately, they won’t tell me what time on Thursday until between 3:00-5:00 pm Wednesday. The earliest they could want me downtown is 5:45 in the freaking am. That would mean leaving my house around 4:30, to be on the safe side. I actually find it…
Iâm familiar with this feeling of unreality, which is oxymoronic if you bother to think about it. If youâre familiar with something, then it shouldnât be unreal. Yet here I am, bisected by a Looking Glass that neither allows me full admittance to Wonderland nor releases me and lets me return to normalcy. (In this…
This is the Finkelstein Test. Follow along, boys and girls: 1. Make a fist with the fingers closed over the thumb2. While holding your hand in this position, bend your wrist towards the little finger.3. See area indicated in yellow in the diagram above? If you get a shooting pain there (which can be bad…
The hummingbirds have made their return, although their nest is definitely history. I’ve spied them in the garden among the Liatris and Physostegia. The bees and butterflies all seem to prefer the Liatris, but I’ve only seen the hummingbirds at the Physostegia so far. Since the plants are a scant two to three feet from…
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!
Love,Alaina
Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
