The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

Iâm not quite as naked as the day I was born; a small triangle of fabric stands between that and my current status. SPF 70 sunscreen is applied to the exposed private bits that havenât seen real sunlight since I was old enough to know to keep my shirt on in public. I elect to…
Over the weekend, I had at least a dozen visitors to my diary who arrived through my Salamander entry of 6 May 2002 entitled “New apartments, turtle tanks and work” because they were using a search engine looking for key words “turtle tanks”. I have no idea what gives here, but I strongly suspect that…
I find it impossible to ignore their silent passage this year. Much of my days is spent traversing back and forth on the pavement outside my office door. Each time I walk through the lot I try to remember to look up, and Iâm seldom disappointed. Even if I forget to look because of distractions…
I spent a lazy evening last night sitting around on the patio, reading The DaVinci Code (which is turning out to be rather disappointing, after all the hype I’d heard about it). Poor Clueless watched as I read, hoping that I’d break down and let him come out for a while. I would have too,…
I get sidetracked more easily than a Conrail freight train making local deliveries. I originally wanted to title this entry “Living in Interesting Times”. I think that may be too long for the display, though, so I haven’t made up my mind if I’m going to truncate it to “Interesting Times” or not. Maybe I’ll…
I want to talk to you about a few things now because I donât think we have too many more days to have conversations with each other. I want to thank you for being one of my best friends. I want to tell you that you are without doubt the best cat in the universe….
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

Wow! I’m jealous as hell!
Looks great!
in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Awwwww, I would’ve done the same thign your sister did, lol. Poor baby bird!! LoL…
Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!
Love,Alaina
Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
