Crap!
Plans to reap what I sowed failed to come to fruition. Turns out the harvest had some weevils in it. Looks like you’ll all just have to wait in suspense a bit longer.
As for me, I’m sitting on pins and needles.

This week Poindexter officially got a new home (after a two week trial). He was adopted by a young couple with no other cats. Knowing he found an appropriate placement was a huge relief. Two days ago I went to PetSmart just to look at the cats. I’ve been hoping to find a young adult…
I feel the need to justify some actions I took last night. Which leaves me in a quandary, because I have a reader who is directly involved in the actions I took. By putting this in my Diary, others who know this person might be able to identify him. Is that a breech of confidence?…
From: Calichef Date Posted: 29 Apr 2003 It seems that “Kitty Grass” would be ideal for old O’Beast. Moonflowers! I just love moonflowers! I have to ask, did you remember to scarify the seeds? They won’t sprout if you don’t. Hemostats and a cheap serrated steak knife seem to work best. What would you think…
Only 23 more ads have come in since last I ranted. Looks like the spam artists have had a slow night. Making up for that, though, I notice that in one of my hotmail accounts that 111 little pieces of spamitis have come in today. That’s a little over the usual count, so I guess…
It is simultaneously disconcerting and a relief. Now that I’ve made the decision to go forward and actively pursue the state veterinary position that has become available, I find myself eyeing my present job in a new way. Even yesterday’s news that my company is researching the viability of four-day workweeks failed to faze me…
Let’s just say yesterday was NOT one of my better mornings. They’d been calling for snow, but I refused to take it seriously. The weather forecasters in these parts are like soothsayers predicting fortunes from chicken entrails. Yeah, they get it right once in a while, but then again, if you guess often enough eventually…
I bought a deLint book, by the way. I haven’t read it yet (finished the Huff series and then indulging in Nevada Barr’s latest paperbook), but I aim to next. I’ll let you know which one it was when I’m done. For a lit master, I’m surprisingly good at forgetting titles….
A cliffhanger,,,
I like the image, too. 🙂 For me it evokes the idea that present concerns can seem so much larger than they are. When we’re using it, a flashlight can seem more clear and luminous than the moon, but it really isn’t–nothing like comparing the two to bring that home.
Thanks for posting it.
i like the song!
What’s that? You have a rash?
You rash and impulsive??
Doesnt seem like you, so I wait in suspense.
🙂

What an awesome poem. The title reminds me of when I was a kid, camping out with a friend in the back yard and shining our flashlights up at the moon.
I’m going to go bask in those memories now.

Whaaaaaaaaa
I am going to go insane until I know what you are reaping.
sitting on pins and needles is right!
