At the risk of sharing too much, that new diuretic that Dr. Liver prescribed for me is impressive. I’ve been on Lasix and Amileride since last August, and my kidneys had pretty much stopped responding to them. But this third diuretic on board has inspired me to take up a new exercise – the fifty-yard…
1. Does one ever stop making mistakes??? I sure hope so. Somebody important said this to me yesterday. My response: I sure hope not. Making mistakes is the only alternative to becoming stagnant. I don’t want to simply be what I am now for the rest of my life, so I’m willing to incur the…
OK. It’s been a slow morning. You are Kermit!Though you’re technically the star, you’re pretty mellow and don’t mind letting others share the spotlight. You are also something of a dreamer. Take the What Muppet Are You? Quiz! Which “Natural Wonder” are you? Do you take too many online quizzes? Results Your Score: 230 /…
I’m a misogynist? Guess you learn something new every day. I saw this on Jenjea’s Diary. And I’m a sucker for tests. But then, you already knew that , didn’t you? See which Greek Goddess you are.
My office paper shredder is small, the economy model of economy models. More than three pieces of paper at a time risks a jam. Six pieces of paper at a time ensures one. So by twos and threes I feed my professional life from 1999 through 2001 into the confetti maker. The paper is mostly…
So Curmudgeon asks, âWas she skiing?â Not bloody likely. I regard ski poles the same way I regard crutches or chopsticks â unmanageable, and more likely to harm me than playing with matches while soaked in gasoline. I hurt myself at work with a good olâ slip-and-fall. I spend the majority of time at work…
"On the day Agnes died…" Is this Nadia? The name threw me for a loop when I thought another character was being introduced.
I like it though!
Alli
I was going to make the same comment as Alli….
I also enjoyed it! I don’t know that I could have done that. I tend to ramble on and never get to the point. Great job!!!
Megan
I liked it too! It drew me right in.
Damnit, still can’t access your friends only entries :(.
Ah, those ARE a lot of constraints!
AND having to name the characters in meaningful ways…. could set me off into the looney bin.
I ALREADY have a hard time naming in my stories….
But it’s true, writing to parameters DOES make you stretch. Paramiters? Paramaters?
Specific requirements! There!
Hope you get a good grade.
Very nice. Well done. I like the name Nadia. My bf’s father died of Leukemia. Some rare form not discovered until it was much too late to do anything about.
Best of luck with your writing class!
I too liked it, however it does not "feel" you are writing this.
I love your usual style…long, rambling and stops along the way about all the little interesting facts you normally *ramble* about.I love it when you stop us readers in mid sentence to smell the roses.
I was left feeling *I want more*. Does that make sense? Sort of got the bread without the filling.
I echo what Elf said.
