The Prof goes for his interview today for the full time tenure track position. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him this nervous about anything before, and it surprises me. He’s worried about being asked to work a problem he can’t handle, or asked a question he doesn’t know the answer to. I’ve tried to…
Day two of the flu Sneezing becomes a fine art My nose hurts like hell
I’m getting better about the twenty-firsts of months. (See long-lost entry May 21, 2001 for a small explanation.) I realized that I actually missed the twenty-first of October and November, which I think is the first time since 1997 that I got past a twenty-first without noting it. I don’t know if this is a…
I’m off to the American Veterinary Medical Association convention.[I’ve a sneaking suspicion I’ll be checking in before I get back. They usually have a computer lab set up at these things.] Fury22: Thanks, but you didn’t need to. I really would still have looked in once I’d gotten home. You’ve become part of the regular…
I couldn’t wait â I put in for another job online today, even though that means I’ll have to scout around a little more for job postings next week. This position would include veterinary compounding, which really interests me for obvious reasons. Meanwhile, this is the first entirely free day I’ve had in a long…
Today marks the half-year anniversary of Satanâs Little Fart Cloudâs quarantine. Her coat is growing in beautifully, and once again I am allowing myself to dream that we can start doing cultures to see if the ringworm has cleared. The veterinary dermatologist we’re using said if she’s still good Monday, we can start. This is…
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years 🙂
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! 🙂
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! 🙂
Three stars for Salamander *** 😉
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! 🙂
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
