Adolescent Cat from Hell must be going through some sort of personal security crisis at the moment. When she was a kitten, she liked to sit on my shoulder. I encouraged this – I thought it was cute and it made my little black heart melt whenever she sought me out so she could sleep…
I think I’m pulling out of whatever attitude I’ve been copping for the last week. Someday I’ll get it through my head that it’s OK to simply be confrontational about something, and get it talked out. Like with the dishes. Do I tell the professor I’m getting pissed off? Noooooo, I just wash the dishes…
Got (another) test tonight. It’s early afternoon in the library and I can’t concentrate. The test is theoretically on stuff I should already know from my veterinary training, but there are a few curveballs in it, and a few things I’m not sure how to handle. An example: sclerotic means “hardening”. I know it means…
I have several prescriptions that have run out and require new script from my doctor. I always get them refilled a couple of days before I run out, just in case I run into any problems. Good thing I did so this time. I called my doctor’s prescription renewal line just now to get the…
… and all through the houseThere was stuff needed doingAnd fires to douse. The stockings were hung on the mantel with careIncluding poor Warrior Princess’sAnd I don’t care if it doesn’t rhyme or scanCause I still miss her. Once again I am book wrapping for donations to the cat shelter, and once again it has…
Meet my cat, The Clueless Wonder. Hard to believe he was a rescue kitty from the streets of West Philthy. I got him as a companion for my mother, and he boomeranged back to me shortly before her death last year.
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years 🙂
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! 🙂
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! 🙂
Three stars for Salamander *** 😉
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! 🙂
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
