15. A Summer Song â Chad and Jeremy It was their second big song, after their initial hit âYesterdayâs Goneâ and C&Jâs biggest hit in the United States. It was the summer of 1964, I was eight years old, and I didnât have a clue what the song was about. It didnât matter; the harmonies…
“The mathematical probability of a common cat doing exactly as it pleases is the one scientific absolute in the world.” -Lynn M. Osband I pulled a photo album out of the bottom shelf of one of my bookcases to work on a little project. The album left a kitten-sized gap in the bookcase that a…
Regarding yesterday’s comments: You are indeed correct, MG. PA has dropped their blood test requirement, although the majority of websites don’t seem to reflect this yet. I don’t know if The Socialist will be happy to learn this or not, since I don’t know whether or not he welcomed that little road block to the…
Today was my annual transplant check up at Big City Hospital. I walked the distance between the train station and the hospital, perhaps a dozen city blocks. My legs were burning by the time I got to the hospital. Being a stay-at-home slug has done nothing for my physique. The walk was even worse back…
Thanks to MoonriddenGirl for providing the link to Animal Totem Quiz. Unlike last week’s religion quiz, I am not prone to take this one seriously, but it was still fun to do. Your totem animal is the EAGLE. You may find that these regal birds appear in your dreams. If they haven’t yet, look out…
Today is May 5th, 2001. Several weeks ago, I received my copies of the final divorce papers. My twenty-second wedding anniversary would have been in two weeks. We never fought. We never cheated on each other. He loved me dearly and will probably never understand why I left him. We never spoke at the dinner…
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years 🙂
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! 🙂
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! 🙂
Three stars for Salamander *** 😉
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! 🙂
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
