These were waiting for me on the dining room table when I got home from work today. The Prof might try to act like a big tough guy, but he’s a new age, sensitive sort of softy at heart. Note the Warrior Princess glaring in the background. Also, a picture of CW-in-the-box from this morning:
I have discovered that I just played my 10,001st game of Snood. I lost, if anybody is curious.
The first day went fine, though it was not what I expected. Working back in the pharmacy means working in your own little world. Based on one day’s experience, there is virtually no opportunity to meet any co-workers but the ones who work the pharmacy. As far as that went, I am apparently the only…
“In the external scheme of things, this evening is as brief as the twinkling of an eye yet such twinklings is what eternity is made of.” – Fred Rogers, 1928-2003 Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood debuted in the US in 1967. I was eleven years old then, far too old to take any interest in what was…
Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Just got email – USA channel is having a Monk marathon on New Year’s day! Monk on USA Network I’ll miss the morning episodes, but that still leaves the evening after I get home from Scranton. This absolutely rocks!
It never really occurred to me that anyone would notice my absence for a couple of days. Especially if I kept making comments. So when I started seeing my name in the title lines of people’s diary entries today I was taken aback a tad. At first I started making personal explanations as to what…
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years 🙂
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! 🙂
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! 🙂
Three stars for Salamander *** 😉
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! 🙂
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
