Unpacking continues. I’ve managed to get all my science fiction books over to the new apartment now (I’ve guesstimated that there are about 1200 books in the collection, but I’ll really have to sit down and inventory them one of these days). All my veterinary and science texts remain at the old apartment, though. They’re…
The office tends to be a very hierarchical place. I use the term “office” loosely, as in “place where you go each day so they’ll give you your paycheck”, as opposed to the “place where they arrange desks in cubicles in order to maximize efficiency by minimizing privacy”. Anyhow, any established workplace has a definite…
Say it isn’t so. This has been a strange political year, but this may exceed allowable limits. The Governator was bad enough, but the “Presinator”? Constitutional Amendment Sought
sigh. Just when I get a good head of cynicism and contempt going, somebody has to come along and kick my legs out from under me. Case in point: The Minion. I believe that in a very recent entry (like maybe my last one) I had my nose out of joint because the Mouth and…
Today the world is an emptier place. My heartfelt condolences to King Duncan’s loyal court. Tonight an empty throne is sure to bring only pain, but tomorrow it is my sincerest wish that it remind those who loved him that he was given as royal a life as any who may have borne a crown.
Itâs been yet another while since Iâve written. I have a theory that I shall now make public: at the heart of every Christmas tree, menorah and Festiva pole lies a minute black hole that sucks all available time into it. Itâs the only possible explanation. The alternate reunion (dubbed âPlan Bâ) was a success….
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years 🙂
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! 🙂
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! 🙂
Three stars for Salamander *** 😉
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! 🙂
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
