Unexpected, this. In flux things are. From the highest level change comes. And like any situation where a boulder is dropped from the highest level, it’s the people on the lower levels that have a tendency to be squooshed. My job description will be changing. I don’t know to what, though. That, apparently, is still…
I’ll get the obligatory medical update over with quickly, so I can move on to less boring matters. I’m blimping up pretty rapidly at the moment. Yesterday I gained 4 pounds, which is a new personal record, and one I hope not to break any time in the near future. It’s my own fault though….
When I was a kid, my familyรขยยs house was on two acres of wooded land. There was a creek that divided the land into roughly equal acres. The creek had cut a deep cleft into the land over the millennia, and so I had a deep wooded valley almost directly behind my house to play…
Several days after I was laid off in August I lost my MedicAlert bracelet. It was my own fault. The clasp had been faulty for ages and I’d put off getting it repaired. It was an upgrade to the first bracelet I got back in 1997, when I first needed to wear one of those…
I’m rather betwixt and between today. I don’t know if it’s the residual aura from yesterday still clinging to me or if I’m still sleep deprived, but I’m walking through the day in a haze. I even called one of my coworkers (whom I know well) by the wrong name. Whatever the reason, my coefficient…
OK, this story starts two years ago when I purchased a Barnes and Noble card during the Christmas holidays. I was book wrapping there a lot to earn money for the cat shelter, and I ended up saving more money than I spent on the card from the discounts I got on meals there. You…
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years ๐
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! ๐
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! ๐
Three stars for Salamander *** ๐
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! ๐
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
