Yes, I know his eyes look painful. But other than those and a mild upper respiratory infection, he’s really quite happy. And no, he isn’t mine. I just participated in a rescue, and held him (in quarantine) in my house overnight Sunday …and smuggled him into my office Monday, until I could deliver him to…
I had a strange dream last night, all the stranger for the fact that I remembered it. I know why I had it. Yesterday was the thirty-fifth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. And yesterday I was speaking to friends about playing favorites with children. The anniversary of the moon landing leaves me nostalgic….
The damned feet are still out there. So much to the lazy Salamander approach to dismembered clean-up.
So, Slipperman, you want to know how I feel after I exercise? In a word, exhausted. Sweaty, sticky, smelly, painful, out-of-breath exhausted. Part of it, I’m sure, is simply because I am out of shape. But even when I was doing 75 – 100 miles per week on my bike, I hated it. Whatever this…
Ah, the best laid plans of Elves and Maias always seem to go astray. It shan’t be the midnight showing of The Two Towers next Wednesday because there is no midnight showing on Wednesday. Do not trust Moviephone.com to get everything right, it would appear. It will be the 10:15 pm show on Wednesday, although…
I spend little time on the web these days. When I am online, Iâm usually playing Hexic or looking up medical stuff. Journaling has become difficult. It isnât that I have nothing to say. Quite the converse: I have too much to say, and organizing the jumbled thoughts I have on a daily basis daunts…
Be brave. be proud. Flaunt your efforts. What’s the worst that could happen, a snarky comment?
Oh Bravo! Oh, well done!
If you don’t get an A, the teacher is a dolt!
Write On!
That’s very good – and I really mean that. It explains the mysterious behaviour I’ve observed for years 🙂
I’m sure Katie has a good home, and will lord it over her new servants.
Oh, bravo! What a clever ending, with a twist I didn’t see coming!
We saw Shrek 2 Sunday night, as well, and laughed loudly and frequently. My favorite moment was the hairball scene. The way the artists drew that sudden lack of focus and the expression on the cat’s face was priceless.
I wondered if you’d have trouble giving up the kitten. I also wonder how Kimi will cope, after six weeks, was it? of cat sitting. I wonder if she’ll end up going out and getting another Abbyssinian.
I’m so glad the kitten has found a home! Even cooler you will be able to keep track of her.
As for the other entry, I love it! Very well done.
I forgot!! Thank you for dedicating it to Jinco. Ashley and I were looking at pictures of him last night. He is sorely missed.
Re your FOE: Well Done!! 🙂
Re finding kitten a good home: Well Done!! 🙂
Three stars for Salamander *** 😉
Now THAT story really rocks. Good work! 🙂
I thought of Dekyi this morning, and wondered how you were all getting along.
I really hope she becomes an important part of her new family.
I love your short story, and the dedication to Jinco touched me.
