The new place.
A separate bathroom to lock each cat into when they get out of hand. A walk-in closet. Large storage area. A private entrance. MY OWN WASHER AND DRYER! Is this not beautiful to behold?

More pluses than minuses. Enjoyed very much. Kiddie relevant facts: No sex; no gore (lots of fighting and blood but no guts or ghastly wounds); one burned alive; lots of ugly critters, including a spider with attitude; triumph of good over evil; triumph of the little guy over the big guy; 3.5 hours long. If…
********** Magnetic Poetry Creation of the Moment I am surrounded by shining friends how culd I be damned in darkness when they bestow the mercy of light ********** The Dutch Scotsman strikes again. This time he’s making it look like I’ve chased him off the boards. Everytime I think I’m finally innured to his stunts,…
Warrior Princess’ eye looks worse today. That may not mean much, but she’s not eating, hardly drinking, and looking for the darkest spots in the room to hide in. It might still be post-surgical stress and depression, but last night she was at least accepting tuna juice; today she walks away from it and any…
Some stupid questions, some thought provoking questions. 1. If you died tomorrow who would you leave everything you own to?: The Prof, my sisters, the zoo. There would be a special stipend set aside for care of the cats. 2.If you had to go live in Borneo for the rest of your life and you…
Interesting how much of this questionnaire I felt did not apply to me. I’m not sure if it really wasn’t applicable, or if I’m deluding myself today. 1. How long have you been on Dear Diary? Tricky question, since I lurked for a while before opening a Diary of my own. My first entry was…
June Weekend from Hell
I used to have a friend who would go looking for baby birds every spring then raise them. She could never understand why they would get caught by a cat as soon as she released them. She finally figured it all out and just left them be!

baby bird time, kitten time, and the increase in road kill time. i love spring, and i hate spring at the same time.
The Picture of Dorian Gray, I haven’t seen that movie in so long it would be new to me.
I love old movies. I just rented ”The Quiet Man” (John Wayne, MaureenO’Hara)
”Leave Her to Heaven”
and ”Laura”
*munches popcorn*
VCR…great invention =)
My favorite part: I was wondering why there were other birds behind me, screaming at me too….
Oh I love that movie! I read the book too… very interesting moral to it. Enjoy! Oh and congrats on the apartment!
congratulations on the apartment, sal!! the bird story was oddly amusing. i remember poking a fat bird with a stick as a child because it wasn’t flying or reacting to our presence (though it was alive. seemed to just be chilling) i don’t remember it screaming, though. it might have been in the same situation.
There was a band back home called Dorion Gray.
I can’t remember if they were any good… I’m sure the movie is better! 🙂
I love how you know the name of plants! I need to buy gardening for dummies, if there is such a thing. I feel so inept when people start talking plants.

Wow! I’m jealous as hell!
Looks great!
in case you were wondering, no, I didn’t read Shay’s comment before I left mine…
It’s massive! But does it have an automatic garage door opener?
Your own washer and dryer adjacent to the bedroom where most of the laundry comes from….BONUS!!!

Awwwww, I would’ve done the same thign your sister did, lol. Poor baby bird!! LoL…
Nice house, looks spacious, big, whoooo!! I cant wait to get a place of my own. Now I know I’ll regret saying that when I do,lol!
Love,Alaina
Wow, look at all that room! The layout looks really nice. Our family of five went from 800 square feet to 1800 sq feet five years ago. It was great to stretch out, only problem was that we did not have enough furniture to spread out with us.
It’s gorgeous!! 😀
That looks like a big apartment!! You’re lucky :).
It is a beautiful thing. I don’t believe I could ever go back to communal laundry. It’s so much easier to toss it in and forget it in the dryer for a day or two….
Your own washer and dryer. One of life’s best luxuries!
